Youth and Inclusion was born in 2012 to facilitate the social inclusion of children and young people in risky or difficult situations
To achieve this, we support investigation and innovation, incorporating the culture of continuous improvement, in the organisations that work alongside young people. We also use our knowledge of public administrative services to commit to the political development of support for young people in vulnerable situations.
In this initiative, we have brought together representatives from two fields: investigation and professional experience. We have on one hand, a group of university departments from the field of education for autonomy in Spain and Portugal: and on the other, diverse non profit organisations specialising in youth and emancipation.
From a collaborative perspective, this alliance was created to generate a big impact and improve the work with young people with social difficulties, as well as with minors in vulnerable situations like our former adult students.
Our projects are focused on generating knowledge through investigation and sharing knowledge through formative actions and increased awareness. Therefore, we create resources and tools which are available to all professionals who participate in the process of autonomy of children and young people in risky or excluding situations.
